D155 Schools Rank Among Most Challenging Nationwide
The Washington Post named Cary-Grove High School, Crystal Lake South High School, and Prairie Ridge High School among America’s Most Challenging High Schools. The list was published on Friday, May 5, 2017. The formula is the total number of Advanced Placement tests given at a school each year, divided by the number of seniors who graduated. About 2,300 public and private high schools were scored. There are more than 22,000 high schools in the United States.

“Our schools placed in the top six percent nationally. We are incredibly proud of the support our administrators, teachers, and staff provide our students. We encourage our students to challenge themselves, but we also value a well-rounded education to prepare them for their post secondary endeavours,” said Dr. Johnnie Thomas, superintendent.
