Prairie Ridge will host the first Business Incubator Pitch Night on Monday, May 22 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. The INCubator Edu Program teaches students about foundational business topics. Students had the opportunity to create and fully develop their own product or service throughout the year. The student entrepreneurs will present their original service or product to a group of judges in a shark tank style event. The judges are local business and government leaders.
Here is the timeline for the evening:
5:30-6:30 p.m. - PRHS Front Foyer
School showcase, student groups will have tables and/or booths set up to highlight their achievements.
6:30-8:30 p.m. - PRHS Auditorium
Pitch Night, where the top five entrepreneurial student groups will compete for the grand prize.
Entrepreneurs and business experts in the community served as volunteer coaches and mentors to guide student teams throughout the process. Lessons focused on planning, business regulation, finances, insurance, legal, sales, and marketing. Many local owners will be in attendance to network with students as well.
Ten teams will present their business idea in a preliminary round the week of May 15. The top five teams will present at Pitch Night on May 22.
